SUPERCOMM, DALLAS, TX --(BUSINESS WIRE) -- June 24, 1996 -- Vertel (formerly Telegenics), a leading supplier of telecommunications management network (TMN) products, and Versant Object Technology, today announced an agreement that will allow Vertel to integrate and resell Versant's Object Database Management System (ODBMS) product within its Power Cats TMN platforms of advanced network management solutions. This enhanced integration allows equipment manufacturers, network operators and service providers to focus on deploying new management applications, thereby accelerating the introduction of new telecom services and ensuring network availability.

Vertel has become a member of the Team Versant Partners Program. As a part of that relationship, Versant and Vertel negotiated a Value Added Reseller agreement which grants Vertel the rights to embed and resell Versant product within the Power Cats product line. Versant and Vertel will engage in joint product development to implement the Network Management Forum's C++ API. The companies are planning a series of joint marketing activities including seminars and joint trade show exhibitions.
